Bangladesh's domestic first-class season begins on Saturday, 3 October, when the 2026-27 National Cricket League opens. Eight divisional sides will take part: Dhaka, Chattogram, Khulna, Rajshahi, Barishal, Sylhet, Rangpur and Mymensingh.
The tournament is scheduled to run until 17 November, with 28 matches spread across seven rounds. Games will be staged at the Sher-e-Bangla National Cricket Stadium in Mirpur, the Sylhet International Cricket Stadium, the Khulna Divisional Stadium and Bir Shrestha Flight Lieutenant Matiur Rahman Stadium in Chattogram. Rangpur Division start as defending champions.
A crowded international calendar means most current national team players will miss much of the competition, which opens the door for others. Mahmudul Hasan Joy and Shamim Hossain feature for Chattogram, Nurul Hasan Sohan for Khulna, while Zakir Hasan leads Sylhet and Mohammad Mithun captains Khulna.
The league also sets up a busy domestic year. The board's new franchise competition, D3, follows from mid-December with its T20 leg.
